"Small but well appointed place with spectacular views. The main "room" is essentially the large deck with a private pool. Comfy outdoor furniture with dining table, loungers and rockers. Part of the deck is covered for shade lovers and rain. The bathroom is huge (indoor and outdoor shower). The bed is super comfortable, and there is a small loveseat and chair in that room as well. Kitchen is small but well stocked. Driveway was described as steep, but it wasn't at all intimidating (we've seen much more intimidating in Coral Bay!). Super easy to get to (all paved roads).The hosts were living in the attached main house, but we never heard them. They were respectful of our privacy, but warm, welcoming, and available for any and all questions.The only reason for 4 stars was for something hosts couldn't control, and something that will likely resolve quickly. There was construction happening above us that meant our mornings were somewhat loud. We spent most days out of the house, so it wasn't a deal breaker. Renters should be aware that noise carries--even on the mountain. But we'd still stay again--the views and the villa more than make up for any unexpected noise!"

"This is an awesome cottage! The perfect place to escape the bustle of normal life and immerse yourselves in nature. It’s completely secluded, but not that far off the beaten path, and the view is incredible - well worth the trip down the stairs. Amenities were great and we had everything we needed for a week’s getaway - especially appreciated the beach gear, fully equipped kitchen, and well functioning bathroom (decent water pressure). Highly recommended!"

"Hostess was welcoming. The setting is beautiful, however the villa is very tired. The fan and light over the kitchen counter did not work, lighting was not bright, kitchen area is very dark, the living room couches were very uncomfortable and marred, the living area was also very dark. We asked for bug repellant to replenish the spray in the bathroom on Monday/Tuesday. Did not receive the repellant until Friday. Many of the remotes were not functional and were not labeled. The many candles, both electronic and traditional were not functional when we needed them. The power went out on Friday, and remained off over 36 hours. We heard generators running all around us in other houses, however our villa had no generator. Without power, we couldn't flush the toilet, take showers or wash the dishes. We were surprised that through out the week, no one serviced the pool or came to clean up. We would suggest that the villa is desperate for a "deep clean"...bugs in the bathroom globes and dust on the pans hanging from the kitchen rack and the kitchen globes need some attention. Spices in the kitchen should be discarded due to moisture making them solid and impossible to use. We had to wash and clean dishes, pots and pans before we were able to use them. "

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house is the perfect mix of cozy and well-equipped, with an incredibly comfortable bed that made for great sleep. We spent every morning on the deck with coffee; the sunrise views are breathtaking and make every step of those stairs completely worth it.The property felt like a secluded tropical retreat. We loved the local "neighbors", from wild goats on the road to hermit crabs under the stairs and geckos on the deck. The nighttime sounds of the wildlife were so soothing. A huge thank you to the property managers, Leonarda and Nina, who were kind, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A beautiful stay in a stunning area!"

"What a perfect place to spend a week! The porch and the pool were wonderful! The kitchen was well-stocked. The fence and gate surrounding the property kept the goats and donkeys away. It was just as pictured. Outstanding view!"

"We had an amazing time at Eminence on High - the house is beautiful with priceless views! The kitchen is very well appointed with two gathering rooms and a wrap around porch to take in the beauty. Our group of 8 cooked in most nights and it was more beautiful and relaxing than any restaurant. Christine was very friendly and available if we needed anything. We highly recommend Eminence on High and would definitely plan another stay here! "
