The bar tenders were definitely on Island time. The room was clean but is in dier need of an update. The mattress was hard. However the beach was beautiful. The people were kind.

Our stay at Emerald Beach Resort was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The room itself was mediocre at best, but the beds and pillows were absolutely awful—easily some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced. The bigger issue was the complete lack of basic functionality and service. The phone in our room didn’t work at all (no dial tone), and the TV wouldn’t load Netflix. We reported both issues on day one and followed up every single day of our 7-day stay. Not once were these problems resolved. We spend our days out exploring and expect to come back and relax in the evenings. Instead, we were met with ongoing issues and zero follow-through. Being told repeatedly that something will be taken care of—and then having nothing done for an entire week—is unacceptable. This was a complete failure in both maintenance and customer service. I would not stay here again.

This property needs remodeling. It’s old and many things were broken. Stained bed linens and worn out beds. Short staffed and terrible service in dining and bar area.

The place was FILTHY, Food service was bad beyond belief, they never cleaned the dinner tables, CATS on the dinner table, over run by chikens, with chicken poop everywhere. They would tak mop water from the rooms and pour it on the sidewalks so you could walk in it. DISGUSTING!!!

Staff was rude, when you get vouchers for drinks etc, they said multiple times, I don't have time for that, paying customers only. Then when redirected by front desk with more vouchers, to be told go to a different place to redeem them, even when it says in () not redeemed at the place they send you. There were never enough pool/beach towels, only would give 1-2 at a time to say about 30-45 min for more to check back an hour or longer and still no towels. The rooms are outdated and hot, the room service starts knocking on your door at 8:00 AM to clean, if you ask for a little more time, they won't come back. Same with the towel situation, there were 3 of us and we would be given only 2 wash clothes and had to wait on bath towels. The shower wouldn't drain and you'd be showering in ankle deep water. The TV wouldn't work, when we called the front desk we were told, should have called earlier. Who stays in their room during the day at an island? The wifi, don't count on it to work either. The room phone wasn't even plugged in, the cord was cut and had open electrical outlets that weren't closed or covered. I've never stayed in a resort that was this unprofessional and if you are in a hurry, don't recommend. It takes forever we're talking hours to get waited on.

The ocean view King had an incredible ocean view. We stayed for one night for the ease of access to the airport which it is extremely close to the airport. Those are the only two positives I have to share.

The property was well maintained and clean. The rooms are dated, but clean. The beach and pool area with the waterfall are attractive . The restaurant and bar area are in close proximity to the rooms. There are plenty of taxi options for touring the island Rachel at the front desk deserves a special mention as does "The Cat" man. They made our stay extra special.

It’s an older property but well maintained. We had friends staying at other properties and we would definitely come back here. Tom the bar tender is the best bartender in the entire Caribbean!!

There are pros and cons (as to anything) but as a handicap person with multiple sclerosis the bar did not serve food as scheduled and I’m sure that is a kitchen issue or a management issue the girls in the bar during the daytime have no customer service. The pool has damage to the brick on the inside, where the water is which to me should be maintained. Also, the resort allows a person. I don’t know if he works there or if he doesn’t but he is a nuisance and when you tell him to leave you alone, he doesn’t in the resort does nothing

I was so disappointed after checking in to Emerald Beach. The property is need of an overhaul. Everything was breaking, grounds filled with weeds, coffee pot and phone not working in the room. Room not too clean. The only good thing about the resort was the beach and scenery. Everything else was subpar at best.

I recently stayed at Emerald Beach Resort and wanted to share feedback about my experience, specifically regarding the restaurant and pool service. While the location itself is beautiful, the service was extremely disappointing. Each time I visited the restaurant or bar, it took 10–15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me. This happened consistently, not just once. What made the situation more frustrating is that a service charge/tip is already included, yet the level of service did not reflect that at all. Additionally, at the pool area, there was a staff member who appeared to work in the kitchen approaching guests and speaking to them in a loud and aggressive manner because they forgot to lock the pool door. Instead of creating a relaxing environment, it felt tense and unpleasant. Overall, while the property itself is beautiful, the service and overall guest experience need serious improvement. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests can have a better experience.
