I have stayed at this hotel two or three times before this most recent visit, and each time I was given a reasonably sized room with a window. Unfortunately, the room I received during this stay was probably the smallest I have encountered in many years of traveling—and it didn’t even have a window.
I asked the front desk if I could switch to a room that at least had a desk and chair, as I needed to get some work done during my stay. I was told that the only way this would be possible was to pay nearly double the rate, despite the hotel not being at full capacity.
Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference, such as a staff member making an effort to accommodate a returning guest when possible. Unfortunately, in this case, the front desk staff didn’t seem interested in trying to find a solution. It was particularly disappointing given my positive experiences during previous stays.
