we liked the staff, comfy outside areas. The pool did not have clear water, was a bit small but was refreshing on super hot day. liked the fact it had a kitchen.

El establecimiento NO ACEPTA TARJETA DE CRÉDITO. (Evaden impuestos.

Good location and tricky neighbor

The hotel & hostel are located very good on the way to the beach and zona hotelara. Unfortunately hotel part is next to the neighborhood that is loud for most of the day and night. Lack of the window, mirror under the shower (in place of the window) and tiny hole in the wall in the bedroom, makes you fell like there's a party at your place for most of the day and night.

Ubicacion inmejorable!

Hot in Tulum

It was so hot and the fans didn't help. Apparently only the hotel part has air conditioning, not the hostel. Plus, there were mosquito nets around the beds which were needed because of all the mosquitos, but it made it even hotter. Very uncomfortable stay.

Fine fortune or two nights

Stay was fine but they played loud dance music of dubious quality until 11.00pm. When we wanted to sit at the front to drink a beer we had bought from the local supermarket we were told we had to move to the back of the hotel area behind a fence with no view of the road. Their bar at this time was completely empty so we were not doing any harm.

Nice place. Quiet.

It's a nice place.. Great access to the beaches and a few shops near bye. Staff are friendly. Place was very quiet when I was there so that might be good. Hotel overall is aesthetically pleasing. Only thing I did not like was the traffic going by at night. The road to the beach is pretty busy at all hours.

El Punto two days review

El Punto is a nice and privat Hostal/Hotel. I stayed in the shared dorms where I had a nice ventilator next to my bed so I could sleep in the carribean heat. The water tho ( be it from the Tab or from the Shower upstairs) smelled and tasted terrible. Either way it was the water itself or the combination of it with the smell that was coming from the outflow pipe... idk but it was not so nice. The breakfasts are quite basic for the price you pay. But therefore I used the shared kitchen space the Hostel offered for the rest of my stay which saved me and my wallet ;)

Centrally located and beautiful grounds

The comfort rooms at this place are a good alternative and reasonably priced. The grounds are very thoughtfuly arranged and there is a small pool. I really liked the location on Coba road. It's on the edge of town and on the road/bike path to the beach. Since we spend most of our time away day Tripp this was perfect as we only slept there. It seemed ok to hang with a good vide and community kitchen and nice restaurant and bar. No frills.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived late and they opened the restaurant for us and made sure we were comfortable. Great location for the price. Easy walk to town and bike ride to the beach.
