"Staying at this ryokan was the highlight of a 2-week trip to Japan. The staff were stunning and remarkable in their attentiveness to every single detail. We had a little trouble getting there as it required a long bus ride up the mountain and then we took a wrong turn on foot and got lost (but that was our fault). When we arrived, the staff were waiting and came running to us to assist us with our luggage and provide a smooth transition into the tranquility of their "home." We had the same nakai-san throughout our stay. She tended to our every need from breakfast through dinners that extended into the late evenings. She was gracious in every way and made us feel comfortable. The food was the best we had throughout our tour of the country. We had a private onsen that could have been a little cleaner, but the public bath was wonderful on both gender's sides. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stocked with every amenity we could ask for. We opted for full body massages which were sadly not good at all, but that was the only aspect of our stay that was anything short of stellar. We will definitely go back when we return to Japan. If you're staying in Hakone, I can't imagine finding a better or more wonderful accommodation! "

"The most stunning hotel, onsen in each room, great decor, staff very helpful. The shuttle bus to the station was helpful. Hotel general onsen was immaculate and we loved the robes and wooden slippers in our room! Snacks and drinksin the bar were a great touch too "

"My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and were extremely impressed with the hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and having our own bath thay can be drawn with hot spring water was a huge plus. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the public onsen if you have tattoos, but we were still avle to make the best of it. Highly recommend getting the dinner and breakfast options! "

"We had an enjoyable time during our stay waking up with a great Mt Fuji view. The service is good and communication is not an issue. The location is amazing for a good unblocked view of Mt Fuji from the room/hotel. It is also walkable to the Gotemba Premium Outlet. There is an in-house public onsen and resting area. Private onsen is also available at a price (per hour). We drove during our trip, so the parking is availability and convenience is very important. The only downside we observed during our trip is the heavy traffic during the day. It might be because the route was also shared with the Premium Outlet."
