"Worth every penny! This host is amazing! Great communicator - super friendly and helpful! Always available for any questions. This location is absolutely beautiful - so peaceful! Incredible views. Loved the pontoon boat and fire ring outside. Loved the cozy cabin - very comfortable. Could not have been more delighted with this experience."

"Newly remodeled. The interior felt brand new. As I walked around the back and side of the building, I could see it was in need of some maintenance. There was a nice sized yard in back where you could let the kids or your dog run around and play. There was a poop bag dispenser. We did not have our dog with us. Convenient location. Breakfast was as expected. Nothing much offered if you eat vegan. Would definitely stay here again."

"What a fun place to stay. We met Dan when we arrived and had a fun talk! He's a super host! It was really fun to sit down on the beach and watch the big freighters go by! Then as darkness approached, we sat in the screened in front porch. The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean. We highly recommend this cabin for a getaway! You will not be disappointed!"

"The best things about this rental: 1) the location, on the western shore of Sugar Island; you can watch the freighters; bring your kayak; 2) the screen room! It is big enough for lounging, family dinners and games; 3) ease of check-in; 4) great WiFi; 5) spaciousness of house. This house is newly listed for rental. We recommend the owners have the screen room cleaned for every guest as it is the best thing about the house and the spiders and moths agree!Things for consideration: 1) it is magical to take a ferry to your destination; be aware that the ferry cost 20 RT; 2) there is one convenience store and one bar on the island so plan your food and drinks accordingly. This was not an issue for us. We always refer to our trips to the upper peninsula as U.P. Your pack it. This was a great rental for our family of four for a week."
Waterfront (Sugar Island) home, with Pontoon Boat!!

"Great home, scenery excellent, pontoon was why we booked. Five mile limit on where to take pontoon, so ended up we couldn't take it to fishing spots we wanted to. (Did not have Canadian fishing license or we would have definately hit the opposite shore 200 yards away -international border goes through middle of river in front of house) Moter ran good and starts immediately. Gas can at house so you can run to the grocery to get more gas (4 stroke motor) but we brought our own can and filled it more than what we used. I would have a lot more instructions/directions if it was mine. Too easy for a novice to start motor (or anxious kid) and not have motor in water far enough so water pump is immediately supplied with water. Little note inside house said US, coast guard rules applied, but none there to read. There are fish in that stretch of river, but this 60 year old experienced fisherman, got SKUNKED fishing for first time in decades. If you want to just relax go for boat ride, see the loons and ducks and scenery it is a perfect spot. PULL the front door tight to lock it. It was unlocked when we got there. just pushing the code to lock it doesnt do it..needs to be pulled snug against door frame. Very nice kitchen, expandable dining table (we noticed someone did not put a table leaf back properly as it was hanging low on one end under the table.) Nice deck to relax on, fire rind and chairs just off deck as well, aluminum dock where pontoon is tied."

"This home was great for my family and I!! Madison was on top of letting us know there was a bee’s nest in a close by tree, she communicated greatly, even provided water for us!! It was our first trip to Michigan and I know if we came to Sugar Island again, I’d 100% look here first!!"
