「House was clean, but had a smokey smell upon entering. AC was having issues as well so was pretty warm inside. Host did communicate really well before, during, and after stay. If you need a cost saving place to stay it is great. Neighborhood was quite and easy to get to the places we wanted to visit while in town.」

「I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.」
