「Good stay, room was nice and the sea view was lovely at sunset. £20 to park for one night and £5 room service delivery charge was a shame. Unsure where it was coming from (sounded nearby) but from 4:30pm - 2:30am there was thumping music. Staff were lovely, bar area is nicely done.」

「Web site shows car parking...there is no close parking」

「Excellent and personable staff, clean and well maintained room, breakfast and dinner were excellent as well. Great location, in a lovely area near parks and the university and the port is a short bus ride or cab ride away.」

「This was my first stay in DoubleTree Southampton and it’ll be the first on my list of places to stay when I return to the city again. Friendly staff, fantastic rooms, great shower in room, great food and atmosphere and breakfast was top notch. Definitely recommend this hotel.」

「The stairs are steep so be careful if carrying heavy luggage, staff offered to help.」

「Excellent location to airport for an early flight. Nice walk to nearby park and further on to Eastleigh. Not much in the area of hotel for food so plan accordingly. Rooms clean and basic but did the job. Very efficient staff in the hotel section, restaurant was ok but expensive for what you get. A pleasant stay.」
