The history is unparalleled, the food is to die for, and there's always the Mediterranean... That said, be sure it's what your looking for, there's many stairs, the driving and parking can be a real challenge, especially in the medieval centers. For us though, it was the trip of a lifetime."

"The apartment is just like the photos and while it is on a busy street there is not much traffic noise. Parking was off street and safe given you are directly across from a police station. Perfectly situated to go see the Valley of the Temples which were phenomenal. Some great restaurants nearby. We didn’t get a chance to see the town of Agrigento as our time was too short. "This hotel was a refreshing one night break from all the air bnb we stayed at during our trip. We came with our child and while they slept we even were able to use our baby monitor in the restaurant for a romantic meal. The dinner and wine was to die for. Famiky room was great and beds very comfortable. If we are ever in Sicily I know where I will be staying again. *Internet not the best but sufficient for our needs. "

"Hotel Eremo is a former monastery. You are greeted immediately by name by the friendly staff. The property is serene, dining is available outside in a courtyard, at the pool, in your room. There is an amazing breakfast buffet. There is a spa or cooking classes by the chef which need to be reserved in advance. It is necessary to have a car to visit the beach or surrounding towns. We also drove to the oldest winery in Sicily for a tour, tasting, and lunch."

"Wonderful experience at this hotel which is in a renovated palazzo. The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly, especially Marisa who recommended the zucchini pizza at the restaurant around the block. The room was fine, very comfortable bed. The morning breakfast was laid out the grand ballroom and there were many options to choose from in the buffet. We felt very well cared for from start to finish. Our only regret was that we were just staying one night. We wish we could have stayed...
