「Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!」
「The hosts are helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, with a great view, and a private bathroom close by. There was a kettle in the room, with tea, coffee, fresh milk and drinking water. The dining room is quite grand, with another excellent view. We could help ourselves to fruit, juice and yogurt, the bread had just been made, and the cooked part of the breakfast was also excellent. Parking is next to the house, well away from the road. We will be back if we stay in the area again.」

「We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous.」
