"Nice new building & modern rooms, friendly staff, convenient and free parking. Walkable from the train station but is uphill and not very close (probably not a good idea with bags). The property offers free transfers from the station, but only hourly and just a few times a day - I would not consider this a negative though given the hotel is affordable and taxi rides are cheap. "This was my 3rd time staying here, great location a few min walk from the train and bus terminal, warm comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff, it's a shame they changed the breakfast service, the curry and rice were excellent before... I'd definitely recommend eating at yuba komachi while in Nikko, delicious chicken cutlet curry, very good price and lovely staff, 2 min walk from the hotel "
