"It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge."

"I booked this hotel mainly for its airport shuttle. Even though there’s only one to the airport in the morning, they went above and beyond to help and accommodate me. The room was massive and provided absolutely lovely views. I do have tattoos so they had to be covered when entering the bath. The building is old and smells of moisture, which I think comes with running an onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. "

Our hosts for the two nights, Natalie and Mizu, were extremely helpful and friendly. "This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"Our experience was lovely! We stayed two nights. The staff was so accomodating--it was our first experience at a traditional ryokan, and the staff was very helpful in explaining various customs. They made us feel very at home. The free shuttle to and from the station was very convenient and easy to reserve. "Soaking bath was disappointing and was not the same as pictured on website. I booked the room for 2 adults and 2 children with meals but our kids had no breakfast or dinner. No bedding was included for them either."
