The room we had was an as advertised 129sqft. Small by western standards, but workable for two travelers. The location near the south gate of Akabane was really convenient. For a friendly and authentic experience, check out the standing Izakaya that is just across the side street from the hotel.

The front desk team is super helpful and friendly, and they speak great English. The rooms are very clean and a bit more spacious than what you’d expect in a typical Japanese hotel—they even have a microwave, a mini kitchen, and a separate bathroom and toilet. You’re close to lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores, and Okubo Station is just a few minutes away. We’d definitely stay here again!

This place hands down was AWESOME, the rooms were very clean and spacious Staff was so friendly and accommodating and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located next to a 7-11 and the Ichiban-gai is very close by. I am very very impressed with this hotel.

Had a great stay! Bed and pillows were firm with the perfect amount of squish. Staff were really nice and just a minute walk away from the convenience store too.

The huge private garden (like a private park) with 3 story pagoda is incredible and the pools, onsen, sauna and hot tubs are really nice. This was once a Four Seasons Hotel and still now remains one the best classic Ritz Carlton like hotels in Tokyo.

This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies. I always stay at Sotetsu Fresa Takadanobaba whenever I'm in Tokyo, and for good reason. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The layout of the YAGURA room was really cool. I've never seen a hotel room like this before, and it utilized the space really well. With two mattresses in the upstairs loft area and a large day bed in the main area, this was perfect for our group of three. Great location and easy to get to.

I stayed 6 nights as a SOLO female traveler and wondered if this was the right hotel for me. For one thing, the "Adults only" confused me. So I researched the concept "Love Hotels" in Japan I wondered if a solo traveler would feel comfortable. The room felt safe and secure, bed was comfortable. I felt very safe and seen when I was at the hotel. The front desk staff is amazing and super quick with serving their guests. The area around the hotel was great and easily walkable. I will definitely be back at this hotel in the near future!!

This is a great hotel for the price in Tokyo. It's right on the Yamanote Line, which goes to most major parts of the city, and is only one stop from Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel (Otsuka) is also a nice residential area and makes for a nice morning walk. Service is very good, and the room makes great use of its small space. Breakfast is good,with Western and Japanese options. Leaving the JR station, turn left at the gates, then right out of the station. Walk about one block.
