"The staff has a terrible attitude and are incompetent. They are incredibly rude and unable to communicate anything clearly unless it is the price of one of the many things they are trying to upsell you. The management only cares about squeezing money out of you and making you feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to be there. In the end, they even admitted that it's all part of their new marketing strategy. I've stayed there many times before but left without staying this time and would never go back. Profit over guests is never a way to earn loyalty. I'm glad I had this experience - it allowd me to discover the much better Cheval Residences right around the corner - where they actually care about their guests."

"Overall our stay was fairly good. The staff were excellent; friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The location was excellent with a tube station and tourist bus close by. The Executive room we stayed in however, was below the standard we expected. The refrigerator didn’t work. Some bathroom tiles were held on with adhesive tape. The bath and surrounds were chipped in parts and had been poorly repaired. The chrome had worn off the tap over the vanity. The welcome which came up on our television each morning greeted people other than ourselves. This was a little off putting and was in no way welcoming for us."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Drey. Everything was clean and the location was perfect for our London exploration. There were plenty of places to eat nearby (our favorite breakfast spot was Over Under Coffee) and overall we would definitely stay again. We had a snug room -which was definitely snug- but for just two people it worked fine as we spent most of our time being tourists. The air-conditioning worked great and it was a quiet atmosphere."

"Really nice to stay in a non chain hotel. The decor is great. Big bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk in shower. Excellent water pressure making for a great shower. Very friendly check in staff. No problem with an early check in unlike the cheaper chains I’ve recently stayed at where early check in is now an automatic charge. Great place to stay if you’re planning an evening at the Royal Albert Hall."

"We stayed here for our last two nights in Europe, and it was a lovely place to end our two week trip. Since it can be hard to find a room for three people, their room with three single beds was ideal. Their towels are bath sheets which is a lovely upgrade. Breakfast buffet was tasty. Hotel staff were so helpful. Would stay here again!"

"We stayed 5 nights. There were many good qualities of this hotel but it certainly did not live up to our expectations of a five star hotel. Most significantly, the thermostat in our room did not actually control the temperature in the room. We spent five hot days and nights. We called several times to have this addressed and were given thinner blankets, but they did not seem able to fix it, nor did they offer any acknowledgment that it was an unacceptable situation. Fortunately, two of the windows cracked open, so that helped relieve the heat, but it could not keep the room cool. As well, the coffee machine in the room did not work, and after having it replaced, it still did not work, and finally did so on the third time. Strangely, there was a TV in the shower, but it didn’t work either! The staff was generally not very friendly, and the front desk was often unattended. Communication with the staff did not improve the experience. Again, not what you expect from a five star hotel. Here is what was good about the Hotel: The beds were comfortable. It was well decorated and our room was spacious. We had paid for an upgrade. There was room for our luggage and drawers to unpack into. There was a bathtub. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. This is an extremely well located hotel if you want to be in a thriving residential neighborhood and close to the metro. We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot speak to their food. Sadly, I would not return. "
