"Wow! What an amazing stay! The location was superb for my first visit to Japan and the staff was excellent! Plenty to do in the area and it was very safe and beautiful! This hotel is iconic because of Godzilla on the lobby patio and the very best place to stay in my well travelled opinion. Can't wait to visit this lovely hotel again!"

Sunshine City Prince Hotel

Sunshine City Prince Hotel

8/10 Good
"My stay at this hotel was mostly wonderful. The location is excellent, with direct access to Sunshine Shopping Mall, which is also connected to Ikebukuro Station (though it's a bit of a walk). This was especially helpful during the rainstorm I experienced during my stay. Another major highlight is that the hotel is an Airport Limousine Bus stop, making travel to and from the airport incredibly convenient. I didn't have to haul my two large suitcases through the city. Having a FamilyMart inside the hotel was another big plus. It became our last stop every evening before heading back to our room. The room was spacious, although a little dated. The centralized air conditioning was on the weaker side, and the room felt quite warm at night. I also found the mattress very firm, though that's a matter of personal preference. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the luggage scale in the lobby, which made packing for my flight home much easier. Overall, despite a few comfort issues, I had a very enjoyable stay and would gladly stay here again."
