Plus the pub is over the road with great food. Best for families with a car as not easy to get to on public transport. We’ll be back again very soon to try out another property in your collection.」

「We use the grand hotel every year and have done for 17 years now. The last couple years it's got more strict and not really family friendly. Room had a window but not allowed to have it open and the temperature was extremely hot. We ordered food (takeaway) and got told we had to eat this in our room. I tried to explain how hot the room was and no where to eat this except sitting on the bed. They didn't seem to care. I asked for 2 extra pillows and a extra fan just to try and circulate some air....

「Booked for just one night to attend a nearby wedding. Room was a twin in a block of 4 located in the car park behind the pub. Modern bathroom and comfortable bedroom with TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Rooms are traditional rather than modern but fit in with the main pub. Breakfast was excellent - full English with cereal/juice/toast all available. Handy for many east coast locations with lovely scenery very close.」

「Such a lovely traditional pub with good accommodation, situated in a pretty rural setting, a short drive away from Pickering. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My husband and I had an evening meal in the pub which was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. Pet friendly. Would definitely recommend the Horseshoe Inn.」

「A lovely welcome and the right place to stay if you want to explore nearby or go into Scarborough. Great food and lovely staff, we are going to return over the summer for sure.」

「The hotel was reasonable but def not worth the £311 we paid for a night! I appreciate the concert being on drove the price up but was def not worth anything like that price. The room was fairly big but old and dated. The bathroom was again massive but quite dated also. There were some marks on the carpet that looked like burn marks and again for the price should not be there. The staff were great, could not fault them. We didn’t get to use the spa so can’t comment on that and the breakfast was...

「The pool is payable and really naff. It costs £20 for 2 adults and 2 kids (both under 5). Food is good and breakfast was good too. Room decent but incredibly hot.」

「Not beach views as it's on a back street . room 208 needs painting on walls and a fan in bath room as you can not open windows as they are wooden windows and could not open. the staff was nice . the hotel needs alot of work to get up to todays 3 star rating.」
