"I booked a room here online at 11pm due to a previous hotel cancelling my booking. Online there was a room available. I paid and drove 35min away from where my event was the following day just to be told that they were fully booked and I couldn’t stay."

"Our stay at the Inn was for a family wedding nearby. On the day of our arrival we requested help from the food service staff with a small birthday celebration for some family members. The staff went out of their way to keep the cake refrigerated while we attended a wedding event and provided a space for us in the bar. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable but there were some issues with housekeeping. The iron in our room was not functional and the beds were made in a way that made them a bit uncomfortable. Several other members of our party had issues of a similar nature. All in all, we would have expected a higher level of service for over $450 per night."

"Staff were friendly and location is great for visiting the surrounding area. Place was recently sold and renovated, but it's still a work in progress. Rooms on the south west side have cool views to the beach and river. Parking gets crowded, especially with visitors who aren't hotel guests. Room had some broken bathroom tiles and elevator glitched while we were on it. At the end of the day, it's an affordable place that puts you close to town and the beach."

"Loved the room layout. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to the downtown shops, to the beach, and along the paved bluff above the lake. The bathroom supplied plentiful towels. The separate bedroom was very much appreciated. Drinks on the patio was enjoyed by my group as well as the well stocked Continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful from check in to wait staff. We plan on returning for family vacations."

"This is a newer property so we were surprised at how poorly it was maintained. Our room was not cleaned well, the shower floor was stained with what looked like grease and oil, the floor trim and walls in the bathroom were poorly repaired and in bad shape. We could not check in at 3 pm and had to wait until roughly 5pm with no offer of a discount or courtesy offer. We will think twice before staying at a Holiday Inn again."
