"This mountain house was absolutely incredible! The pictures truly don’t do it justice. It was even more beautiful in person. The views were unbelievable, and the whole house was so peaceful, cozy, and welcoming. We loved every minute of our stay and honestly didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Great property and an amazing location! The lake is beautiful and the kayaking is serene. So close to a waterfall view just past the island. It was an incredible trip for our daughter’s wedding at Castle Ladyhawk! The property is great for a large family gathering and cook outs with a large grill and flat top for easy breakfast. Loved the king beds very comfortable!! Thanks!"

"Beautiful property! Very clean and lots of room for our family. We always enjoy our annual trips to Bear Lake. This is our 4th year and we cannot wait for next year. If you’re wanting a less crowded experience, I strongly recommend the last weeks of August (when school is back in for many kids). We always go at that time with our kids and we basically have the pools and hot tubs to ourselves. It’s incredibly relaxing and still very warm.Tip: buy your groceries before you go. It’s a good 30-40 minute drive “into town” and, if you’re like us and don’t want to leave the resort during your stay, it’s a great idea to get it before you arrive."

"Great cabin with lake, perfect for slowing down and unwinding. Excellent choice for a young family for simple memories. Out door picnic table perfect for dining, lake for fishing, tree swing for the littles and a campfire for smores. And not to far from bigger attractions. Would definitely stay again."
Community Perks, Walk to Beach: Tuckasegee Condo

"The condo is spacious and beautiful. It is immaculately clean and well maintained and sits on beautiful Bear Lake behind the Lake Club Community Building and pool with a postcard view of the lake. Almost everything we needed was provided save the bathroom toiletries and cream and sugar for the Keurig coffee maker which was just odd given the attention to detail elsewhere. What we did not know-and you should -is that this is a very remote Resort with no cellphone service. There is wi-fi and GPS is on and off. I mention this because these roads are the steepest and windyest I've ever driven on. At night there are no street or overhead lights. Dangerous if you are out after dark ( just don't). Because of this we got lost a lot-at night and during the day. This is such a spectacular and special place but it needs to seriously reconsider guest safety. We need many more exit signs that state the route back to the Greeters Cottage along the 5 mile exit road OR stripe the exit route in green vs. the current yellow everywhere to distinguish."

"This is a gorgeous and rare find that I’ve enjoyed several times in the last 10 years. Staying at Carol & Ed’s place, I’ve always experienced a sense of calm and retreat. From the hot tub and hammock to the access of the boats on the water, it’s an easy place to relax and find solace. I just love the sense of very little development on Cedar Cliff Lake where you’re met with such beautiful nature and can find some true quiet. The cabin is a quick drive to WCU’s campus.For when you’re ready to venture out, especially for anyone staying in the area for the first time, a must visit is downtown Sylva. Checking out Innovation Brewing and ordering from their partnering food truck, Cosmic Carryout is an INCREDIBLE choice."

"We’ve visited Bear Lake for the past 5 years and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed! Beautiful home, beautiful views, we had everything we needed! It’s amazing that the kids can walk to the lake house, pool and marina from the house. Being on the lake took our vacation to the next level and this will be the place we stay every time we visit from now on! Beds comfy Kitchen appointed Location/layout perfection "
