Top Hickory Flat Knob Hotel Reviews
Dual Peaks Gem $1M Sharp Views /HOT TUB & WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"This mountain house was absolutely incredible! The pictures truly don’t do it justice. It was even more beautiful in person. The views were unbelievable, and the whole house was so peaceful, cozy, and welcoming. We loved every minute of our stay and honestly didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again!"
Tipi Tranquility-Glamping at it's best
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our visit to Mark's tipi. The setting is quiet and tranquil and the tipi is very cool with super comfy king size bed. Lots of neat stuff to look at in the tipi. Mark is an excellent host who greeted us at check in and responded quickly throughout our stay. My favorite part was star gazing on the hammock. This is a unique stay if you're looking for something different to do."
Cozy 4-bedroom cabin in the Appalachian mountains of peaceful Tuckasegee, NC
10/10 Excellent
"Great spot to stay while visiting WCU!!"
Community Perks, Walk to Beach: Tuckasegee Condo
8/10 Good
"The condo is spacious and beautiful. It is immaculately clean and well maintained and sits on beautiful Bear Lake behind the Lake Club Community Building and pool with a postcard view of the lake. Almost everything we needed was provided save the bathroom toiletries and cream and sugar for the Keurig coffee maker which was just odd given the attention to detail elsewhere. What we did not know-and you should -is that this is a very remote Resort with no cellphone service. There is wi-fi and GPS is on and off. I mention this because these roads are the steepest and windyest I've ever driven on. At night there are no street or overhead lights. Dangerous if you are out after dark ( just don't). Because of this we got lost a lot-at night and during the day. This is such a spectacular and special place but it needs to seriously reconsider guest safety. We need many more exit signs that state the route back to the Greeters Cottage along the 5 mile exit road OR stripe the exit route in green vs. the current yellow everywhere to distinguish."
Located on Bear Lake in Tuckasegee, NC. A scenic getaway for your family event!
10/10 Excellent
"The property was amazing. Beautiful home and spacious for our family of 14. The house is on the lake and not too far from the Lake Club. The house had fishing rods, paddle boards, kayaks, and life jackets. We had teenage boys and adults that enjoyed all those. Wonderful wrap around deck with furniture and games (foosball, etc). The guys loved playing golf one day. Owner was very responsive if we had a question. Would absolutely rent this same house again if/when planning another trip to Bear Lake."
Serenity on Cedar-Lakefront Cabin- 10 boats-Swim/Fish/Boat, Starlink & Hulu Live
10/10 Excellent
"This is a gorgeous and rare find that I’ve enjoyed several times in the last 10 years. Staying at Carol & Ed’s place, I’ve always experienced a sense of calm and retreat. From the hot tub and hammock to the access of the boats on the water, it’s an easy place to relax and find solace. I just love the sense of very little development on Cedar Cliff Lake where you’re met with such beautiful nature and can find some true quiet. The cabin is a quick drive to WCU’s campus. For when you’re ready to venture out, especially for anyone staying in the area for the first time, a must visit is downtown Sylva. Checking out Innovation Brewing and ordering from their partnering food truck, Cosmic Carryout is an INCREDIBLE choice."
Bear Lake's Best Condo! CLOSE TO CLUBHOUSE!
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, quiet and well stocked. Close to the clubhouse, which is why we initially chose this property for our family. Host was incredibly responsive and provided sufficient information for the property and surrounding area. Great stay and would love to return. Highly recommend!"

"We’ve visited Bear Lake for the past 5 years and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed! Beautiful home, beautiful views, we had everything we needed! It’s amazing that the kids can walk to the lake house, pool and marina from the house. Being on the lake took our vacation to the next level and this will be the place we stay every time we visit from now on! Beds comfy Kitchen appointed Location/layout perfection "
