「Wonderful place to stay! Jean, the hostess, is an absolute delight. From the moment of our reservation she handled all of our needs and wishes with efficiency, warmth and charm. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the rooms, though older in vintage, are very clean, comfortable, nicely appointed and quite quiet. The nearby village (short walk) is charming, with a variety of excellent dining options. All in all, Otters Green is one of the best accommodation values we have experience...

「The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes」

「Lovely characterful country house set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, but within easy reach of many other places of interest. Car needed to take full advantage of the location. 「The whole building was unique. unusual but very comfortable. We could have done with another chair in the Room.....but other than that fine. 'Mine host ' was very friendly and helpful. We had a bit of banter.」

「I had a lovely stay. It was convenient for me as the place has a bike shed easily accessible at any time. Room was comfy and the breakfast was delicious. The owners had plenty of helpful advice for things to do. 」
