Consider this studio your home away from home while you visit Plaquemine. This beautifully restored property offers a cozy living space, updated kitchen, and luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower and clawfoot tub. Perfect for solo guests, or families. Can sleep up to 6 comfortably with our queen-sized murphy bed, and 2 single convertible beds. More guests can be accommodated upon request. Our studio offers amenities like WiFi, heating, a washing machine, and a dryer. Please note that this property is located on Railroad Avenue with trains passing throughout the day and night.

The Kinberger Building also has a quaint, New Orleans-style coffee shop & café at the bottom of the building alongside a stunning boutique venue space. With the historic Plaquemine locks also only a 5 minute walk away, your stay is sure to be pleasant and stress-free. We hope you enjoy your stay and come to see us again!

Beautiful room….train is just too noisy

This location is on a street in Plaquemine that features a railroad track running down the middle of it. When the train comes through town, which was about every 30 minutes all night long, it’s no more than 20-30 yards from your window. To make it worse, this property is on the corner of an intersection so the train lays on its horn while passing through. It kept us up all night. We ended up leaving at 7:00pm on the 2nd night and booked a hotel in Lafayette so we could sleep. It’s a gorgeous room with a convenient coffee shop next door and an amazing Mexican restaurant one block away.

Coffee shop loft

Our stay was awesome. Going downstairs to the coffee shop every morning was the highlight. Its right down the street from a couple of places to eat in walking distance. The studio has plenty of room and great bathroom and kitchen
