The views from the expansive back porch were stunning, and it had plenty of space for outdoor dining. But, I felt nervous with our small kids (5 and 7) out there because there was a 40+ foot drop and the fencing was a little bit flimsy.
The kitchen was spacious and well appointed for large groups, but it was missing some of the smaller utensils you might want if you actually plan to cook, e.g. a silicone spatula and a set of actually sharp chefs knives, so you may want to bring your own essentials.
It was excellent to have an indoor pool (and attached outdoor hot tub), which gave a great opportunity to let our kids burn off energy. But the water in the hot tub was cloudy enough that we weren't really comfortable using it--it appeared that the water hadn't been changed in several weeks at least, even if it was properly treated with chemicals.
Aside from the gross hot tub water, which is really why I withhold a 5-star rating, there were a number of small issues which I felt should not exist in a $2000+/night vacation rental (because when you spend $20k for a 10-day family vacation, you really expect it to be basically perfect). This small issues:
1. Half of the lights in the pool (overhead lights, not in the pool itself) were burned out.
2. Several of the beds had no fitted sheets, just a second flat sheet on top of the mattress.
3. Many of the TVs were missing remotes.
4. The internet was VERY slow at night. To be fair, this is probably not the property's fault, but it was nonetheless frustrating.
5. When a large group showed up across the street, parking became an issue, despite the fact that we had only 2 cars at a house with 13 bedrooms.
6. One of the 4 microwaves was entirely nonfunctional.
7. One of fridge shelves was damaged.
Overall, despite the issues, we would probably still stay there again.
