"We came to hike Cares Gorge and stayed here two nights. Seemed like we made a wrong turn, as we were in the middle of nowhere 15 minutes off the main road, but it the scenery was awesome. Only restaurant in town (village?) was good. The unit was awesome and clean....and super quiet at nights and morning. 30 minutes from the trail head at Cares. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Rural Picos de Europa and had a wonderful stay. It's located in a beautiful position, 5 - 10 minutes walk from the village and there's plenty of parking space. The hotel is simply but very comfortably furnished, our room was excellent, but be aware you may have to carry bags up a couple of flights of stairs. Breakfast was simple, plentiful and beautifully presented - fresh orange juice, freshly made scrambled eggs, toast and jam and coffee. They don't do other...

"Beautiful setting in a limestone gorge with a river flowing through it. Better than a white noise machine! There are hiking and mountaineering trails in the immediate vicinity. As a vegan, I appreciated that they included both a vegan and vegetarian option on the dinner menu. The thermal pools and the baths (balneario) were lovely. Don’t forget your bathing cap! "
