"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. "The hotel's location is excellent. You can take bus number 87 from right in front of the hotel to Namba. JR train station is also 500m far. There's a 7-Eleven right across from the hotel. You can buy food, drinks, and some breakfast items there. The hotel staff were very polite and informative. Thank you so much for everything."

"My only complaints is the WiFi was extremely unreliable and would constantly cut off, and I wish there was a way to cover the sunlight from entering the bedroom in the morning. The amenity is lacking a few things (for example, it tells the guest to wash dishes and put them away but doesn’t provide a clothe to dry them). Also, the instruction isn’t super clear. The instruction reads to leave the key on the table when checking out (that’s what it says literary in English), when in fact you need to lock and put the key in the lockbox as one example.
