An Inexpensive Hotel Close to all the Action.…

This hotel is a nice balance between near it all and affordable. The bathroom and bathtub are large. Being 6'2 and trying to take a nice hot bath after a long day of walking/shopping and getting lost is usually impossible in most Japanese style hotels (kind of like trying to stuff yourself into one of those metal wash basins), but I found the tub to be sufficient in size (which was nice). The rooms are nice enough, but do show signs of age. They are clean and spacious (again, for a japanese style hotel room). I did like that the toilet had it's own room, some people may get a little confused by the bath/shower setup (do a little googling on this). Non-Review information: For JR Pass holders, the JR Namba station is about 5-6 blocks south of here. You are in the Dotonbori area, so you are about a block and a half north of the start of the river walk area, 2-ish blocks south of America-mura, and about 3-4 blocks south of Shinsaibashi station. Three blocks east is the main drag if you want to do some high-end shopping (Burberry, Prada, etc...), but if you go past that there are a bunch of shopping/food in that area. …This hotel is a nice balance between near it all and affordable. I've eaten at the Intercontinental during previous trips to Osaka, but this was my first time staying there. Wow, wow, wow! Rooms were gorgeous, views were great, and breakfast was stunning. Made every hotel I stayed at in Japan after that seem like a downgrade in comparison. Highly recommended!…
