Where to stay in Oregon City

Exploring the beauty and industrial heritage of the Pacific Northwest by kayak really gives you a sense of the enormity of the region and the challenges of the emigrants as they built a new life in the wilderness. The now abandoned Blue Heron paper mill below Willamette Falls is scheduled for redevelopment and can only be fully appreciated from the river.

Overall amazing stay & service. Wish there was more communication among the staff about billing options. I had to leave a staging deposit even though I did prior to my Expedia travel package. Just to later be informed I didn’t need to leave a stay in deposit. I hope this gets resolved as I would ...

We liked our staff at this hotel. It was great to have a kitchen as we were on a 10 day road trip and didn’t want to eat out every meal. The area felt safe and having parking was an added bonus. The person in room above us had very heavy foot steps but thankfully they weren’t up too late.

Didn’t do any sightseeing since I was traveling for work.

I like the old masonry with the stairs going up to homes - I saw some similar ones in downtown Portland at the foot of the west hills and I just saw an old horse tether and even an old watering hole for horses up above Rex Putnam school.

We have visited many Oregon Trail sites and this is one of the best places to see Pioneer places.

If you’re on your way to Seattle, this is a great place to stay. Much more rustic than Portland. Beautiful surroundings and nice people. And really doesn’t add much time to your trip. We stay here when we go on cruises in Seattle. 3 hr drive

Staff was semi pleasant, let us check in early which we appreciated. Used the hot tub and restaraunt. Both very nice. Overall enjoyed our stay but didn’t get much sleep due to unruly next door neighbors and wall heater that was broken and clanking.
