Exquisite Historic Suite Close to Downtown 14-21673

  • Located within walking distance to downtown Portland and convenient to the Pearl district, this romantic private suite is appointed with all of the luxuries found in a fine hotel. There is also a communal deck with mountain and river views available for your use when the weather permits.
    A queen sized bed in the main bedroom sleeps two but there is also another queen sized sofa bed in another room along with all the bedding needed. A small kitchenette and a sitting room with a counter for your electronics serves as a breakfast table. Since it was my art studio there are lots of art and interior design books to peruse along with games to use.
    The suite is accessed by an elevator and it is completely private. #14-21673

Beautiful north view of Mount St Helens and Mount Rainier from the balcony. This place was full of color and quirk. The doors without handles were strange, and we wished for more extensive signage to indicate the function of various features; Vicki's writing was clear and concise, but some of the signage carried only a sentence or two, and some features had no explanation (light switches, thermostat, microwave). All in all, an excellent place to spend a few days if you want to really feel Portland. Hopefully we'll have a chance to visit again!

We wish we could have stayed longer. I booked as a short stay before flying home. Had I known how beautiful the place was and how sweet Vicki is, we would have planned for a longer stay!

The place is cool and unique. Amazing balcony view. The suite is accessed from an elevator which the kids thought was amazing! Best quality sofa bed I’ve ever seen. The main bedroom was so comfortable. There is a curtain to the bedroom but no door to close. I didn’t realize it was a suite on the host’s house and we’d need the host’s physical orientation to the space, but that was a lovely experience. Stayed just one night and it was a great experience.

This place is magical! We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay…a special thank you for sharing that amazing 3rd floor porch! The view was healing! It was our first time in Portland and we are in love. The vintage shopping is insane!!!! I had to buy a bag to get all my new treasures on the plane. Great communication and amenities, provided by the host. We felt right at home. We can’t recommend this place enough! You can thank me later.

Staying here was unexpectedly wonderful. The space is larger than expected, eclectic, comfortable, interesting, unique, and charming. We only stayed one night as we passed through town on personal business, but it was perfect for us. By chance we got to meet Vicki and really enjoyed meeting her and the information she shared as well.

The morning view of Mt St Helens took my breath away. What a great stay from the food recommendation for a near by cafe to the stunning deck view of the cityscape. Everything was labeled and explained for super easy use of all things in the apt. Thanks again for a great stay!
