"hotel might need a refresh from the nineties but was very clean and the staff was quite helpful. needs new pillows, the stuffed bean bag pillow was hard to sleep with "

"great staff, perfect location for the start or end of Shinamami Kaido, and rooms are comfortable a clean. Amenities perfect"

"Lovely clean and spacious apartment, a short walk from the station. Easy check in and great communication from host. Would happily recommend to family and friends. Thank you. "

"It was a fine stay. The room was cool with the projector for viewing and we loved the souvenir machine. We slept comfortably and the hotel was quiet. The room was fairly clean and water pressure was great for the shower. Free bottles of water in the room was nice as well. However the cafe closed early, the ice cream machine wasn't working and the rooftop bar was closed. The property had dust bunnies throughout and staff was sparse which made it feel a bit like a ghost town. "

"This is a traditional Japanese guest house. It has an amazing view and is a unique place to stay. Would highly recommend but don't book if you want a western style hotel."

"We absolutely loved this place. It was by far our favorite stay during our 10 days in Japan. Definitely recommend spending extra on the dinner, it was amazing."

"It was my 50th birthday treat with my parents. They both likes the hotel and enjoyed the stay. My mum thinks she would bring her friends next time. "

"The check in was smooth, the location is perfect if you are coming by ferry from Onomichi, 2 minute walk. The complimentary lemon beer, juice and water were a nice touch. The public bath was very good too. The main street is very desolate, only a couple of restaurants open and all the shops were closed most of the time."

"A great place to start the shimanami kaido and to explore the town. Very comfortable and great views. Plenty of personal space. Wish we could stay longer."

"Exactly as described, a nice apartment in a quiet neighbourhood. Instructions to access the property and operate the facilities were clear and comprehensive. "

"Biking up to this property is not for the weak minded individuals. But it’s a great property with awesome rooms and an amazing onsen and restaurant in it. Staff was very helpful despite limited English and I would stay again."
