「I strongly advise against booking the Fall River Hotel during the summer months.
We checked in on August 8th during a severe heatwave with temperatures exceeding 100°F. Upon arrival at 8:00 PM, we found our assigned room had absolutely no air conditioning. The room was unsafely hot, completely unventilated, and impossible to sleep in.
When I requested a room change, the front desk staff refused, telling me that because it is a "historic hotel," they are not allowed to install air conditioning....
「The room was clean, the shower worked well and the beds were decent. It is very close to Burney Falls, which is nice if you want to arrive when the park opens, when it's cool and sparsely populated.
But this very old motel is totally run down - the interior of the rooms, the exterior of the buildings and the parking lot are all in poor condition. The proximity to the highway and the extremely loud AC unit make it difficult to sleep without earplugs. We would not choose to stay here again.」
