"It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too. "

"The parking spots in the detached parking garage are very narrow. Difficult parking a compact SUV. Also, the rate to use the garage is $30 per day, which I believe was overpriced for the tight spacing."

"Booked a room with 2beds months prior. Arrived after midnight (to a sold out hotel) and was told we were “upgraded” and something about a fold out bed. I took that to mean a sofa bed in our room. No…they broke up an adjoining room/suite and had the sofa bed (the only bed) made out for us. I book VIPs and they would have made me change hotels immediately so I’m not sure how they can think this was ok to do. "the AC door in our room was broken and made a ridiculously loud noise every time it turned on for the 1st night the second night we took the door off and it was fine"

"I am truly disappointed in this entire transaction. The hotel was booked back in July of 2022. Sometime during the hotel closed in January 2023 and no notification was sent to me letting me know about this. I was super lucky to be able to pivot and find another room at a different location. I wish there had been some communication about the closure. Hotels.com did come through in getting me a refund. "
