Staff is friendly, wonderful, and speak English well. A really nice way to see neighborhood side of Japan. Not your typical hotel.

The room and facilities were clean and well maintained. I slept great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, easy walk to Nippori station and fun shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

An amazing deal, with the big bed and a lot of the perks of a full-fledged capsule hotel for the price of a hostel. Everthing is as clean and well-kept as a hotel too--absolutely no hairs in the bedsheets or any of that nonsense. Hostel rules still apply though; towels are rental, for example, and the front desk will close at 11 PM or so. They even serve free toast and hard-boiled eggs + one drink for breakfast! Great, cozy little place!

I had a great stay at this property! While the room itself had more of a dorm-style setup—compact and simple—it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short or extended stay. The space was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged to make the most out of the smaller layout. The property overall was quiet, well-maintained, and in a convenient location. We stayed in the annex as a family of 4. It was perfect for us. Simple and a great price. Great location. Exit C1 was the closest exit (stairs) and C6 (escalator) was the next closest. The grocery store “Life” had the best bentos and baked goods in the area. Also, cheaper fruit than in the department stores. It was 5 min away.

I'm backpacking through Japan and this hostel is in the middle of the action. Great nightlife and friendly staff, make it a "no brainer"

Excellent staff.They diligently worked with the airport to find/get me my lost luggage. Reasonably priced breakfast, drinks, very clean, and in a very safe neighborhood with great transportation options.Takeshi and team rocks!

The 3th time to stay here. Good location, good value, cozy space, nice river view.

The aesthetic is gorgeous. Our room was very clean and there was a private lounge on the 6th floor for hostel guests to relax in with a fully equipped kitchen. The food and drinks from the cafe and bar were amazing.

Very clean and very good staff

My son and I stayed at Book and Bed for 5 nights. The place is awesome! The staff speaks decent English and are always ready to help you any way they can. The hotel is small, only holds like 45 people in individual cubicles. It is super clean and fresh. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to save money and don't mind using a hostel. Great place! I will use it next time in Tokyo!

Great spot

The receptionist was very kind, and helpful. We were able to buy detergent at the front, and wash our clothes easily. The room was compact, and had a small desk to use if needed. They have a wall of recommended restaurants in the area which is very helpful. Overall the experience was great.
