"The staff members were wonderful: Lester and Jonathan/Check - in very quick & Silk Road Dining staff breakfast with on point! The only thing could be better was the one hour swimming time & having to make a reservation for it. That was strange and awkward. My phone was a problem and I was sure if it went through!"

"First off, it's a beautiful hotel—very new, modern, and stylish. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and eager to offer recommendations. The room design was an A+. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues with the room. When I checked in, I found a visible stain on the undersheet. Always check! To their credit, the housekeeping manager responded quickly and changed the bedding. I also noticed a slight damp smell in the room and pillows, although I'm not sure what the cause was. I didn't raise the second issue because I was on a tight schedule and didn't want to risk another room or bedding change after already dealing with the first problem. I also had my own pillow, so I decided to let it go. Overall, it's a genuinely beautiful hotel with excellent staff, but the housekeeping needs to be more thorough, as these issues took away from what would otherwise have been an excellent stay."

"No staff members in premises but instructions to check in a simple and clear to make the process fast and efficient. Room was very clean and tidy and with lots of space. Had an assortment of useful amenities and was very close to attraction we wanted to see (The Nara Deer). Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Nara and visit the deer."

"A small inn ran by an old couple; I didn't see much of the husband, he seemed to be busy doing various tasks around the property. The wife was a kind lady, who will help you easily if you need it, she also has a decent grasp of English so you shouldn't need much google translate, especially if you know a bit if Japanese yourself. "Room is old but clean, it's typical love hotel style. In room dining is available. You can use the payment ATM nxt to the door before checkout to settle by cash or card, instructions are in Japanese. Per usual love hotel you will be locked in once you are in the room, dial 9 and ask staff to open door if you need to leave the room. Car park is on level 1, you need to use stairs to get to room passing the reception. Hotel is on a slope so it's a bit challenging to stop and ask for instructions when we arrive. Other than that the staff are very helpful and they had instructions already translated in English printed for tourists who do not know the system. Room is large and toiletries are amazing and ladies can even use hair curler and other products. Overall good value and comfortable for 1-2 nights if you don't mind the style of stay."
