「The location was perfect, and the view from our room was lovely. It had everything we needed. The price was great for an in-season rental we only needed for one night. We also appreciated getting access and WiFi info ahead of time.」
「We’ve stay here a couple times in the past and have never been let down. The entire staff is so helpful. There were staff member performing clean task constantly throughout the day. Beach is right out the door….or enjoy the pool! This hotel is smaller than those “chain stays” which is nice. They pay attention to detail. Awesome breakfast to start your day…..afternoon wine social if that’s your thing….and cookies to end your day.

「We loved our stay at the Blue Heron Motel. Right on the beach, close to everything that you would need. It is not a new, fancy hotel (which is what we wanted). It was clean and larger than expected. The only thing I would suggest is to put some curtains on the window in case guests wanted to sleep in. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!」
「The cabin was a perfect place to go to sleep after staying out all day on the beach. Close to Fat Boys for ice cream and some of our favorite restaurants. Although advertised as “soundproof walls” our experience was otherwise, could definitely hear our neighbors very clearly through the walls. No complaints, would stay there again with my wife on another long weekend on the Outer Banks!!」
「Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. 」
