The first night we stayed in a room where the popcorn ceiling was flaking on me and my 3 year old all night. It was on the bed and the floor. The carpet smelled musty. There was black mold in the closet that we saw the next morning. When we woke up in the morning we found a large black bug in between the two queen beds (maybe water bug?). That morning we went to the front desk and they changed our rooms. The only difference was that the second room did not have carpet and the popcorn ceiling was scraped. There was still mold on the curtains and in the corner of the kitchenette area. We were also told they are no longer supplying plates and kitchen items in the kitchenette (a big reason I chose this hotel). Also I had asked for clean bath towels, and they were out. So we had to reuse our bath towels over 3 nights (probably longer if we stayed longer). The only reason I did not change hotels is because the week we went, it was super busy and no vacancies around us. Another note to add- the pool was dirty and disgusting. They do not clean the pool or even skim it every day. There was a false eyelash in the pool all 3 days we were there. There are a few spa pools that are not open- one guy fell in an empty spa that is in the middle of a walking area and had to be rushed to the hospital. The pool bar is not open (from what I heard hasn’t been open for over a year). I hope my review motivates the owners to put some money and effort into what could be a great hotel/vacation spot.
