This was one of the best experiences I’ve had traveling. The onsen was incredibly beautiful, clean, and serene, and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The food especially stood out as one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan. I highly, highly recommend this onsen!

When I arrived I was greeted by a very sweet old lady and man. They showed me to my room with so much kindness. I could feel the love. My room has strong air conditioning (very important during summer) I was served an incredible dinner in a private room and I enjoyed a bath. A young man spoke very good English to me and suggested I wake up at 5am to watch the monks chant. I did and loved it. They served me an amazing breakfast the next day and I left. We showed up early (2 hrs) and the staff was still able to accommodate us and hold bags. We got lucky in this…wouldn’t recommend planning for it. This is a small hotel (possible four rooms) but a fantastic value and comfort. The staff member was very polite and spoke good English to help us enjoy our stay in Kofu. Thank you!

This was my first time staying at a Dormy Inn, and as expected from its reputation, it was a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff provided great service, and I really enjoyed the thoughtful little touches, including the complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night noodles). I was especially pleasantly surprised by how delicious the welcome grape juice was. Although it is a bit of a walk from the JR station, it is definitely a hotel I would recommend.

We absolutely loved Yamate Inn. The staff was very friendly, the room was decent, and it’s in a great location; lots of neat places along the street on which it lies. If we return to Kofu (likely) we will definitely seek it out again.
