"The rooms are a bit dated, as are the buildings but best place to stay to visit Cradle Mountain with kids. Loved it all! We saw platypus and wombats right outside our room. The restaurant was fabulous and all the staff were very helpful."

"The Pumphouse is in the middle of no-where. There is a lot of excellant hiking and some boating around. The hotel is designed to support this. It is less well designed to suit the long term traveler because of lack of space for suitcases or hanging cloths. That said the staff was extremely helpful. The food very good, and ambiance superb!"

"We were married here in 2015 and return regularly. It is a truely unique place, away from it all out in the beautiful Tasmanian rainforest. A place to relax, get in touch with nature, escape the hustle and bustle and recharge. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, if a little outdated. The king beds could use an upgrade ie. make them a king, not two singles joined in the middle. But the cabins are warm, light filled and surrounded by the rainforest. We stayed as a family, 2 kids under 5,...

"Nice place about 40 minutes drive from Cradle Mountain. It was great to have the pub/restaurant attached. Aside from the wifi being a bit patchy, the accommodation was great."
