We were married here in 2015 and return regularly. It is a truely unique place, away from it all out in the beautiful Tasmanian rainforest. A place to relax, get in touch with nature, escape the hustle and bustle and recharge. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, if a little outdated. The king beds could use an upgrade ie. make them a king, not two singles joined in the middle. But the cabins are warm, light filled and surrounded by the rainforest. We stayed as a family, 2 kids under 5, and cooked lunch and dinners in the 2 bed cabin. The kitchen is adequate for self-contained, if you are prepared to cook on an electric frypan and bring all your condiments. Perhaps they could offer a cooking pack with oil, salt, pepper etc? We will be back again soon. Our kids love doing the little bushwalks, seeing all the animals and exploring amongst the ferns. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking fabulous Tasmanian wine and watching life go by.
It was a real retreat in the middle of bush... lovely birdsong... Cold outside but cosy inside...

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
We stayed in Devon, it was slightly overpriced for the condition. The sliding door lock needs repair, cupboard door in front of the fridge is starting to come off it hinges, curtains were in poor condition and we killed several spiders inside the room.
On a brighter side the surroundings and scenery was just amazing from the deck and spa.
I liked the bush seting and cosy cabins. The kookabaras were beautiful to.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The luxury Spa suite was very clean. The toiletries were ok but would have expected a few more and also better quality. Also the coffee/tea was just about sufficient in the room although again, it wouldn’t have taken much more to make it feel luxury instead of OK. The restaurant and breakfast were a little underwhelming - not really enough choice in menu and breakfast was a little self-serve cafe like ... I would have liked an option if room service for both but neither where an option. The location was beautiful and
Loved it how we walked in and the heater was already on. ( was a tad bit cold outside so this was a lovely touch!)
Very comfortable couch and beds had the most enjoyable stay, very relaxing.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The setting is beautiful and the cabins are a great size and really clean however the bathrooms are very outdated.
We had the birth of our grandchild sooner than expected so had to return home and asked if we could have a refund for our second night stay but this was declined in a very negative manner.
The way in which the situation was dealt with has left a very negative impression. We will never return to this property again and would not recommend it.
What a shame their customer service let it down.
Such a beautiful setting! Spacious, well-equipped cabins with a feeling of solitude yet just a few steps from the main lodge with everything you could need. For those who can't go off-line, 4G provides better performance than the lodge's WiFi (satellite) and an upgrade to in-house streamed movies would be better than a good but dated DVD collection. Great staff and very accommodating kitchen. A 'general store' would be useful to support the well-equipped kitchens in the cabins.
The cabins are cosy, warm and inviting. The staff are super friendly and helpful. A charming place to stay although care must be taken on the 8km gravel road drive into the resort. The road is narrow and windy.
Loved driving to/from the Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat. The 8km stretch between the resort and the freeway was such a joy to drive - the beautiful winding road, the landscape and the random wild black kitten we saw on the way in (yes, a cat!). The property was neat and tidy, with a fireplace to warm us up at night. We had dinner at the resort one night which was a delight - nothing fancy, but sure was cozy, filling and delicious.
Fantastic service, friendly staff. Nestled beautifully in pictures wilderness. Highly recommend an long stay in nature. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Plenty to do, walks, waterfalls, fine dining. Simply perfect. Will be back again.
