「Sweet upstairs lodging for a night as we were in the area for a grandchild's graduation. The countryside is just beautiful! A slight damp odor to the garage (the bedroom is above) but no problem once upstairs. Temperature easily adjustable, bed very comfy. Bose radio nice! It was perfect for our visit and the host very accommodating.」

「Really quiet area and the room had all the amenities. Kitchen, 2 balconies, TV, Wifi and a really good bathroom! We enjoyed the view best of all, both in day and at night. There was plenty of stars at night and a nice forest behind us. This is our first time so we’ll definitely come back!」

「It was a little bit difficult to find at first but we're happy once we found it and got in. This is a fun little place to explore and a quick drive into Ruckersville and not a super long commute to Chatlottesville. This was a great little get away! 」

「We had an amazing time and my train obsessed 2 year old LOVED that the trains were across the street! They even have a train museum and large model train across the street. There’s an adorable little icecream spot around the corner we walked to and had a blast. The bed was comfy, the studio was super clean and welcoming and it perfectly suited our needs for the weekend. We had a blast at elkton brewing, enjoyed some fresh pizza, local trails and hiked some larger trails on our way out of town....

「We were rained-out of a long planned camping trip and, luckily, found this at the last minute. The Rococo room is beautiful and very clean, and the deck with BBQ is quite useful. It is spacious and bright. The grounds are fun to walk around. Seeing the different areas is really interesting. I especially liked the yacht floating in the pond. Overall this was a great stay! 」

「We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. 」

「One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.」
