「Property was as stated except no hot tub. Shower was cold. Room very basic and clean. Needs new mattress. Pool was very nice. For the price it was just fine. Very rural area but the beaches are supreme. Host Gary is a nice guy.」

「Small, cozy, friendly, quiet....we stayed for a month in the jungle of Guanacaste with Gary and his dog, Wally!
The pool is wonderfully shady in the afternoons, Gary is a warm and friendly host, helpful and kind.
We were looking for someplace near to beaches, great sunsets, and no crowds....meeting the locals, shopping the local markets, etc.
This is the perfect spot to just sit back and relax.」

「This is a great little lodge, near to local, beautiful beaches. AC, hot water and pool, and full outdoor kitchen access are welcome amenities. I had some trouble finding it, but that was more operator error. Gary responded quickly to my questions when lost. Must visit playa San Juanillo for sunset, and Playas Frijolar and Coco are beautiful with a great Tiki Bar.」

「The rooms were very comfortable (best sleep we had on our trip to Costa Rica) and we loved the pool, the beach, the sunsets, and the star gazing at night. We were there with our family. It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients.」
