"We have been here two years in a row now. It is perfectly situated for us in Cozumel. It is further back to be able to be surrounded by the culture but close enough to be by everything and by the ocean. We absolutely love the rooms and think they are very clean, well taken care of, hot showers, and amazing people at the front desk. This place is an amazing hotel to go to on your stay! They are more than willing to help with taxis for you as well. The staff is fantastic and they really care about taking care of whatever you need! Couldn't recommend this place more. It's a little oasis inside and very comfortable! "

"The Mary Carmen is a great little hotel just off the main square in St. Miguel de Cozumel. The rooms are air-conditioned, clean, the beds comfortable. The windows face into the courtyard. Breakfast is available for a fee but there is also a kitchen available for guests to use with a cook top, microwave, coffee maker and communal fridge. We once stayed there for a month and it worked well. The tap water is not potable but 2 water dispensers are available for guest use. The highlight is the turtles that live in the courtyard. They are very entertaining to watch and to search for amongst the plants. Don't expect the Hilton but the Mary Carmen is clean, convenient and the staff are friendly and helpful. "
