The many cultural events make of Lucca an ideal destination in any part of the year: Lucca Comics and Games at the end of October, religious and classical music concerts from April until June, operas in October and November, the local Festival in the month of September, the Summer Festival concerts in July, open air markets on the week end and much more.

Torre del Lago is only 25 km from the historical centre of Lucca – the composer lived there many years – an open-air theatre was built, which is the yearly host of the Puccini opera festival.
