They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. 「Main issues were a) the "bistro" and bar area looked nothing like the pictures on the website. Most of the dining tables had been replaced by a pool table and dart boards. Broken or unused furniture was piled up at the side of the room. After taking one look, we decided that eating here was not an option. Similar unwanted furniture etc was piled up on the stairs to the second floor. All in all, there is no way this could be described as a tidy place b) our room was immemdiately above the bar....

「This is a converted coaching inn at the junction of a few roads. Easy parking, good breakfasts and dinners, plenty of character. A bit of a downside if you’re a light sleeper with the traffic and kitchen exhaust system. Otherwise, easy place to stay.」

「A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.」

「The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were helpful. Parking was in front of the hotel, off the main street. The village had a few shops and a large town nearby. The hotel has a river at the bottom of the grounds which was lovely to sit near.」

「Lovely hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing. We stayed on the hottest day in May and no air-conditioning was an issue. The staff came around with ice buckets added fans to the room and did everything they could to help. My sister is disabled and their care was outstanding. Breakfast sat outside with a view of the golf course was fantastic. Would we stay again most definitely maybe not in summer until they have air conditioning though.」
