「Wonderful food and service」

「Nice room with good Ringtons tea drinks and biscuits. TV very small. Lovely meal and beers in the bar. Big portions.. Nice shop. Lovely surroundings and access to Hadriens wall. Breakfast had a good selection. Friendly staff. 」

「The bar was well stocked great pub atmosphere. Our twin room was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfy. Host were friendly left us in peace. The back door was easy quick exit for leaving. There is room for improvement on the corridor to the stairs of our room. Overall would happily stay again. Did not try the food.」

「Reception staff wasn't kind. I felt it was arrogant. I began to wonder if it was because I am Asian. Just one person...not everyone. The area was surrounded by major roads, which made it difficult to get around without a car.」

「This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. This was our second visit to the Pheasant Inn and both were very enjoyable with comfortable warm rooms, tasty food at breakfast and dinner and most enjoyable atmosphere in the bar mainly due to all the staff engaging with all customers and their service was exceptional 」
