"Beautiful grounds and everything was very clean. Rooms are basic (in the basement level) and rather small but very clean. I would come here more for the grounds than the actual room. Good value overall. The hot tubs (there are 2) and sauna are also what make this place special. Nice common areas, including an incredibly stocked kitchen (also super clean) and a cozy lounge area. "

"We loved our 2 night stay at Auberge Lac Tauraux! Not perfect but definitely more positive than negative. The beds were really hard that we both woke up with really bad back aches to the point my back was having spasms. The walls are also paper thin and you can hear everything. Thankfully we were on the third floor so no one was above us which helped. Staff was very kind and helpful except for a very rude/snobby hostess at the restaurant le Cerf Rouge. Food was actually amazing both at the bistro and the main Resto cerf rouge. We loved the feeling of the whole place, it was warm, rustic and elegant. So many activities and fun things to do. We would definitely love to go back with our children during the summer. Overall it surpassed our expectations and highly recommend it! PS The drive there is very twisty and up/down so suggested to avoid driving at night. "

"The breakfast area setup needs improvement. There were no tongs to pick up the bread leaving people to use fingers. For some reason, the breakfast was set up in the bar area with gambling video lottery terminals in plain sight making it not kid friendly at all. This may even be illegal as it is in other provinces but I’m not sure. The food was good though. "
