It is a beautiful location with a private beach. The staff are helpful. The little village is nice with good food choices. the motel is old fashioned and very basic.

Very "country", rustic, takes you back to the seventies. Clean,very basic. A small carpet in front of the tub would have been nice. To have the two sets of towels differently colored would also have been nice to avoid confusions.My main reason for wanting to go back is the swimming in the clear northern lake and the small but lovely private beach.

1950's style Mom and Pop motel. No air conditioning. But clean, quiet, and very affordable. You get what you pay for but this place is fine for a night or two. Hardly breathtaking but perfectly acceptable and priced to fit its market.

Not a very good experience

I would like to say: it is rock-n-roll.....but it actually isn't. The room is small and poor. The bed slept terrible and the sheets were old. The grey blanket on the bed had a burning-hole in it. The carpet felt dirty. The shower was good however and the lake was beautiful. We paid $129,- incl tax, and this is way overpriced

The only drawback that the walls weren’t soundproof enough. But that was the way it was built in previous times.

It's a really nice and cheap place to stay at St-Donat. I recommend. They have a huge terrain and the lake view is beautiful. I'll come back soon. Forget the bad feedback, I hesitate when I saw the feedback, but you have to come to understand the people that leave bad review on this motel, they were trouble maker. At the price that cost, they have access to the lake, it's really cheap for a motel at this location. I suggest to book the suite, they have all appliance need for living there. Thanks you for your service, see you later.

The locals call this motel the most famous 2-star motel in town because it has 1 too many stars. This place has limited check-in times, and if you miss it, then you are sleeping in your vehicle, not nice in -20C weather. The owners are pretty weird. They charged me a deposit, and I had to fight to get it back. The ceiling looks like it could fall in at any moment. There are other places to stay.
