"Our room was amazing (not sure which category it was because there had been a bit of a mix up so we were upgraded) but if I'd have known how great it was, I would definitely have splashed out to stay in it. It was a two bedroom suite, one bedroom was huge with a gorgeous four poster and the other a single bed in a small room. "Staff here are almost as lovely as the views. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, AC worked (except when you had to leave the room with the key) but the bathroom is weird with the showers allowing water to flood the floor (this is normal in Greece I think). Taxi's charge a lot to get to and from here- so book a rental! Overall- very happy with my stay and look forward to going back!"

"While the staff were very friendly the hotel was very limited insofar as amenities. The room was not well prepared with bathroom plumbing requiring emergency repair to render it safe. Even with that repair it was a very ‘rustic’ room with little comfort. The most difficult aspect of the hotel was the 90 stairs that had to be climbed to access the room! This was not for the faint of heart and should be highlighted in the description."

"The falassarna bay hotel was even better than we expected! The room overlooked the water, had a beautiful layout and a nice bathroom. Everything was exceptionally clean and housekeeping came daily. "Only good things to say about this hotel; very friendly and helpful staff (especially Maria at front desk), big plus in the rooms (which we did not experience in the other 3 hotels of our vacation) were welcome sweets and raki, Nespresso machine, complimentary bottled water. Air conditioning worked well but need to be able to redirect vents so they're not blowing on you while in bed. Bed was very comfortable but pillows could be better. Best breakfast of our vacation and very good for European hotel; good variety of eggs, sweets, juices, breads. Short walk to old town made location very advantageous. Overall great choice of hotel."

"Property is in the old town part of Chania, so lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The old town is also pedestrianised so you can wander with no fear of traffic. The apartment is modern with a usable kitchen and a comfortable King sized bed. The housekeeping is excellent with regular changes of sheets and towels. The only downsides are; the long flight of stairs up to the apartment, no lift, so lugging suitcases up and down is a bit of a pain and it is in a street full of restaurants and bars so general chatter and laughter noise until quite late. The windows are double glazed and have have external shutters. If you don't mind sleeping with the aircon on closing the windows and shutters was effective at keeping down the noise. All in all, a good location and good value for the price."
