Beautiful

Enjoyed being right on the ocean. The only downfall to this property was that it faces the east, so enjoying sunsets meant leaving the unit and walking around the building. Aside from that it was a great property! Spacious, clean, comfortable!

Kauai vacation

We visited the island for a week. My wife and I enjoyed the north side for several days and then spent several days in Poipu. The property was very clean and right on the water. It was an older unit, but it was still very nice. It was convenient to beaches and local attractions and restaurants.

Just can't beat it

The view is incredible, it is right next to one of the better restaurants on the island (The Beach House), and overall location is perfect for Poipu adventures!

Honu View

Excellent location with great views of "turtle cove." Sunrise views can be wonderful (weather permitting). The condo is basic but the location makes it worthwhile. It would be helpful if the patio screen would lock. We had problems getting into the condo using the long numerical code. Would prefer to be given the 4-digit lock box code to get the key.

Snorkeling, turtle watching and surfer watching

The room met our expectations. The location was great. We could watch turtles feeding in the water nearby. Around the corner we rented snorkeling equipment and couldn't believe all the beautiful we saw right there on the far side of the building. Surfers were always fun to watch while we were waiting for the sun to set. Then at sunset thousands of large green parakeets came flying in to roost in the palm trees. In the morning we could walk 10 minutes to Living Foods for a latte and pastries. It's a great location.

Perfect location!

Truly oceanfront. The sound of the ocean is the most soothing! Turtles, breaching whales, lovely walking areas. This was our 5th stay at Kuhio Shores. We’ll stay here again, for certain!

Place was great, great location. Lots of mosquitoes get into the property which was the only downfall. other than that it was great.

Door entry

Keypad was inconsistent in its use. Sometimes entry was relatively easy but frequently most challenging. The keypad kept locking us out.

Fabulous room location

The walk-out lanai was wonderful. This particular room gets shade on the lanai by mid-morning making it a great place to sit outside and enjoy the bay.

Wonderful welcome gift

Thank you for the welcome treats. Great location, comfortable bed, kitchen well stocked. Interior could use some updating and more towels would be nice for three people, a week stay only 1 towel each.

Location was amazing

We loved the location. Ate almost every meal outside on the patio just watching the waves. Yes there is air conditioning. It was a little noisy though. Washer and dryer are not in the unit and are coin operated which we didn't realize. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

FYI

Be aware that your view of the water often has the public walking in front of your small patio, which also means closing shades for privacy. We also had workers snaking the drain in front of the patio, two times. Might be better to rent one of the condos above. Also, only one condo key available.

Perfect spot

We definitely enjoyed the location and the view of this condo. It was spacious and clean , the only thing that bothered us was , the walls might be thin or very less insulated , you can hear water going through pipes especially I am guessing if they flushed or took a shower in the condo above us , it gets little annoying at night , the sound is pretty loud and disturbing at times . Other then that everything is good , I dont know of that problem can be fixed at all .

The view. The view. The view. But...

The view is worth the price of admission. One of the best views and best complexes in the south. Beautiful, that we know. But the outdoor furniture is an abomination. C'mon people! Go to Costco and buy new furniture, then charge and extra $10 a night! You'll make up the cost in a month. It's these little things that keep people coming back year after year. When you miss little things (you can thank us for buying the coffee maker), people begin to look at other condos. The sunrise view is staggering. Watching the turtles in the afternoon is life affirming. It would be nice to do these things on something that is not rusted through. Let's up your game guys!!

please clean up and replace

beds uncomfortable, over used, No ice in freezer, toilet seat kept brakeing. shower way to fast and hard, could not turn down. bathroom room very noisy, could hardly wait to get out of bathroom. outside furniture rusty and fabric torn. I paid way too much to stay here, felt ripped off. The truly great part was the view and closeness of the ocean. Never saw a turtle, looked and looked.

Mostly great experience
