Perfect location for a Waikiki stay. Gorgeous beach, amazing views. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful, and feels like a special destination from the moment of arrival. Staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only downside is how expensive on-site dining is, but I think that's true of all hotels in the area. Fortunately, the excellent location means that an endless number of food and shopping options are only steps away. We'll definitely be back.

You can't beat the location if you're looking to be in the liveliness of Waikiki. Grounds are beautiful, staff was very accommodating and friendly easy to walk to all the sights, shopping, and restaurants Waikiki has to offer. Oceanfront is amazing, pool is quiet small, but who needs the pool when you have the beautiful beach.

We heard from various sources (i.e., guidebooks, blogs) that spending a couple nights at the Royal Hawaiian was worth the money. We totally agree! The Royal Hawaiian has a old-school luxury vibe that is calm and relaxing. Despite it being situated in the middle of a major shopping center, the hotel seems to capture the beauty and beach vibe that you seek for a luxury vacation (cue the White Lotus theme song). Step a few feet out, and the hustle and bustle of the Sheraton hotel is right there. We were offered an upgrade to our room--a junior suite to fit my 80-year mother, my 9-year old kid, and us. The beds were nicely sized, there was plenty of space. The beach is just steps away from hotel, and is situated towards the end of Waikiki beach, which offers a sand bar where you can almost walk out 100 feet and still have water knee-high. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here--the staff was incredibly nice, the pools were fun and perfect for our kid (tip: go early in the morning), and the beach was exactly what we needed to start our vacay.

Beautiful ocean view from lanai. Beach is wonderful-sandy, easy access, and calm waters making floating very relaxing. Would love to come back. First time having a Mai Tai and loved it.
