In my opinion, that space is part of the restaurant. So unless you’re purchasing from the restaurant, it makes sense that area is reserved for patrons only. "Wonderful stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is absolutely superb, short walk from the city square and hotel has private onsens for anyone with tattoos or who would rather enjoy the experience alone. "

"The hotel is a short walk from the train station and outlet mall which which was convenient and provided much of the available shopping and restautant options. It’s otherwise a quiet residential area. Our hotel room was spacious but it felt like it had not been used recently. Although cool outside, the room was warm and we could never figure out how to turn on the AC. It was not quite as clean and spotless as other Japanese hotels we’ve stayed in. "
