"We were upgraded to an ocean view room. Spectacular! Super quiet, comfortable bed, excellent shower and great Nespresso! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Had great dinner recommendations from our valet. Walking distance to shopping and eating. Don’t miss a dinner or breakfast at Red Salt. Short drive to other eating and shopping. "

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sonesta Kauai. It's connected to a Marriott resort, so there are a lot of restaurants and different spaces in which to relax. Our room was updated and clean, though they only provide in-room services every two days. As a vegetarian, there were limited options and our best meals were off the resort. We traveled all over the coastline to many beaches and I'm glad we did. The beach at the resort is fine, but there are a lot better ones elsewhere. The pool is pretty empty early in the mornings and then later in the evenings and I swam laps and relaxed during those times."
